Our work defines strategies across the globe and generates impact to General Motors.

As a Business Intelligence Manager, you will be working alongside GM purchasing professionals on the cutting-edge technology components and global supply base by pushing the boundaries of efficient and effective development and growth of supplier options for commercial opportunities improvement. You will collaborate with Supply Base, Purchasing, Government Relations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and other business partners within the broader organization as part of an inclusive team, where differences and unique perspectives are embraced so that you can reach your potential as you pursue your career.

Key job responsibilities:

1- Understand current supply base (local and globally) per Commodity/SMT:

•    Current technologies and plans for transition to Electric Vehicles and Automation

•    Supply base footprint in Mexico and investments (current and future)

•    Communication with Sr. Global Commodity Managers for additional supply base options

  • Prepare and report updates on GM Purchase Values per SMT
  • Understand and prepare reports on Global strategies for Sr. Leadership

2-Support continuous improvement for cost reduction activities:

• Identify Supply Base with public Union Contracts

•    Monitor and maintain GM Mexico Suppliers Union Contract Data Base for quarterly Dashboard updates

  • Monitor and maintain Country economics for quarterly updates

Required skills:

Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related areas

Experience: 1-3 Years

Softwares: PBI, Excel advanced, IA tools

English: Advanced

Softskills: Analytical Thinking, Communication, Data Judgment, Workload Management, Relationship Management, Vendor/Supplier Management
