Manager, Digital Strategy, Planning & Execution

Role Summary and Impact

Skills and Experience  

Responsibilities of the Role: 

• Expert in Paid Search -responsible for planning, executing & optimizing the effectiveness of Search Campaigns
• Outstanding ability to think creatively & troubleshoot problems
• Execute tests, collect & analyze data, identify trends & insights
• Gain knowledge & experience to support team lead in developing search strategy for existing business and pitches
• Keep pace with industry trends & developments -attempt to be first to market with innovative approaches
• Search Champion and the POC within the group
• Build close relationship with Vendors - Google, Bing, new ai search partners
• Track, report, and analyze website analytics
• Partner closely with the SEO team on an ongoing basis to align One paid and organic search strategy, share keyword, SERP and content insights, and present a unified search point of view to clients
• Mastery of Tier I engine UIs and capabilities, relevant SEM management platforms and strong knowledge of Tier II vendors and capabilities
• Maintain a deep understanding of client business goals and marketing objectives, translating them into digital objectives/strategies
• Own execution and performance analysis of YouTube Ads campaigns (Video Action, Demand Gen, YouTube Select/reservation), including audience, creative and bid strategy optimization, and integrating learnings with the broader Search plan
• Build working knowledge of AI in search, including how AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini-powered results are changing query behaviour and visibility, and factor this into channel strategy and client recommendations
• Track the broader AI search landscape (LLM-driven discovery, AEO/GEO trends, competitor moves) and translate developments into practical implications for the client's search and content strategy
• Stay current on Google product updates and betas (e.g. Performance Max, Demand Gen, AI Max for Search) and proactively bring relevant new features and tests to the team and client
• Prepare and present strategic media recommendations to client and agency management, including objectives, strategy, rationale, and provide analysis and projections to support recommendations

In three months:  

• Strong understanding of client business model
• Mastery of all relevant Search platforms (Google, Bing, YouTube, etc.)
• Build professional relationship with teams and lead performance driven strategies with clients within search
• A keen understanding on the various platforms and systems which power search and eCommerce

In six months:  

• Be the person whom the client goes to for day-to-day activities. Able to propose ideas and activities to answer identified challenges in regards to Search
• Be on top of all the betas and innovations in the digital space and be able to articulate and share with internal and external stakeholders and how it could be relevant and useful to them
• Driving cross-channel synergy - Connect the power of Search, YouTube & eCommerce
• Build One search strategy for the Client

In 12 months:  

• Be comfortable in developing proposals and preparing Search media strategies in line with the overall campaign
• Be able to lead and provide strategic insights on Search matters
• Be confident in taking part in pitches whilst working together with the rest of the agency

What You Will Need: 

• Bachelor's Degree
• Good understanding of all Search platforms (Google Ads – Search, Shopping, YouTube, GDN, Performance Max, etc.)
• Experience in managing multi market campaigns (globally / regionally)
• Proven record of success in running audience-based/performance driven/direct response campaigns
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel/automated dashboards, etc. – An analytical mind that is creative as well as data driven to identify trends/patterns and insights
• Ability to work within and effectively manage a team, decisively organizing multiple assignments for both self and team direct reports
• Extremely business-minded and detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
• Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
