Job Description
CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant – Materials Management (MM) to support a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA transformation within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain capabilities within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
You will collaborate with functional leads, business stakeholders, and technical teams to modernize and optimize logistics and procurement operations aligned with mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP S/4HANA MM processes, including procurement, inventory, valuation, and purchasing
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, configurations, and technical specifications
- Support integration across SAP modules including SD, FI/CO, EWM, TM, and EAM
- Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, process design sessions, and solution demonstrations
- Develop functional design documents (FDDs), test scripts, user guides, and training materials
- Partner with technical teams to define requirements for enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments
- Execute testing (unit, SIT, UAT), support defect resolution, and provide production support
- Support data migration activities for material, vendor, procurement, and inventory data
- Assist with deployment, release management, and post-production stabilization
- Provide Tier II/Tier III support and troubleshoot functional issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support ATO, cybersecurity, and audit activities
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience in MM
- Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and master data (material/vendor)
- Experience developing functional specifications for SAP enhancements
- Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and production support
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal ERP programs
- Experience with SAP Activate and Agile/Scrum delivery methods
- Experience integrating MM with SAP solutions such as: SAP Ariba, EWM, TM, FI/CO, SD
- Experience with SAP Fiori, Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM
- Understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain processes
- Active Secret clearance
- Certifications Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Materials Management Certification, Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.), Security+
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a Federal agency
- Department of War experience is a plus!
