Description
We are Amazon’s GES International Design & Construction team, and we are responsible for the design & construction of Amazon’s European building infrastructure such as Fulfillment Centers, Cross Dock and last mile delivery stations, and refurbishments of existing infrastructure.

We now require a Mechanical & Electrical Services Technical Expert (MEP Manager) to support us with the growth of our international network. You will be responsible for the definition and improvement of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and BMS systems we design and implement in our buildings.
We require holistic expertise to advise internal and external teams, and we wish to improve and optimize the design, construction and operation of these subjects.
You will be part of the Global Engineering Services team, who deliver all parts of our buildings, including mechanical handling equipment and Amazon Robotics equipment. You will be our Subject Matter Expert for Mechanical & Electrical & HVAC, and the link between the Construction team, which manage ongoing projects on the ground, the Preconstruction team which are setting these projects up, the Sustainability team and the Worldwide Building Design team which issue the prototype templates.
You will review and consult templates and execution designs and concepts, sustainability solutions and bring in improvements including sustainability step changes. And there will be countless other things.
This opportunity combines strong construction engineering and project management. We require a talent with proven track record in permitting, design and engineering, and project management.

Key job responsibilities
• Review, challenge and improve mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and BMS services
for new- built or refurbishment projects
• Lead cost savings initiatives
• Collect and sync feedback from developers, GCs and Consultants and internal stakeholders
• Assist Preconstruction and Construction Managers during design reviews
• Deep dive into technical details and lead problem resolution on a need basis
