At AMD, we're developing technologies that power AI, gaming, cloud computing, and next-generation computing experiences. As a Product Control Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful development and launch of new products by ensuring prototype materials and samples are planned, scheduled, and delivered on time.

This position sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe. You'll help drive new product introductions (NPI), solve complex operational challenges, and contribute to continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Whether you're launching your career or building on early professional experience, you'll gain valuable exposure to semiconductor operations while making an immediate impact.

THE PERSON:

You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve and teamwork is essential. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy coordinating multiple moving pieces to keep projects on track. You communicate effectively with technical and business partners, approach challenges with a process-oriented mindset, and are motivated by finding efficient solutions that help teams succeed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support manufacturing specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Plan, schedule, track, and coordinate the delivery of prototype samples supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining programs.
  • Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve material shortages, production constraints, and scheduling risks.
  • Develop sample schedules, labor loading, and capacity plans based on engineering requirements and production specifications.
  • Monitor manufacturing schedules to ensure material availability and on-time execution of prototype builds.
  • Drive small- to medium-scale process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide operational support for engineering development activities and contribute to successful product launches.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure program milestones and customer commitments are achieved.
  • Support additional operational projects and initiatives as business needs evolve.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with material planning, production scheduling, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds or electronic component manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, New Product Introduction (NPI), or supply chain operations is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
