Description
We are hiring a Managing Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) for Kracow, Poland to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of EHS challenges in the following areas:
- Auditing/Assessments
- Chemical or Lab Safety
- Hazardous Materials and Waste management
- Environmental Permitting
- Data Analysis
- Electrical safety and NFPA 70E
- Fire Prevention
- Industrial Hygiene
- Laser Safety
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
- Machine Guarding
- Process Hazard Assessments
- Robotics Safety.
- Safety Process Improvement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take the CLIENT EHS Regional role (“Theater Lead”) for EHS, coordinating the team of ERM secondees, reporting to the CLIENT EMEA EHS Manager and interacting with the Client Global EHS Director.
- Manage various EHS programs and strategies for the EMEA region working with cross country teams to implement tasks.
- Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with country and local regulations.
- Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are met on project deliverables.
- Develop scopes of work, including budget and deliverables, to meet client needs.
- Support our clients desire to improve EHS performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
- Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments.
- Assist the world’s most innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.
- Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives.
- Begin to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage and develop your skills and help solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/MS in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Engineering, or related science degree.
- 6+ years relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors preferred.
- Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing project budgets and expenses highly preferred.
- Based in the Client Kracow offices, with ability to travel occasionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English) and the ability to communicate effectively.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or a related science or engineering degree highly desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of Poland EHS regulations and European Directives.
- Ability to lead teams.
- Good team player, especially during challenging situations.
- Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive.
- Effectively and succinctly, communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.
