Senior ServiceNow Developer – Build, Lead, Transform

Raymond James is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Asset Management team—a group dedicated to managing the lifecycle of IT assets across the firm with precision, governance, and strategic insight. This is a high-impact role where you'll not only develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions but also own and build new capabilities, champion change management, and drive innovation through Agile practices.

Job Description

This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Development: Design, code, test, implement, and support ServiceNow applications and modules—primarily in ITSM, SAM Pro, Service Portal, and Integration Hub.
  • Architect Solutions: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
  • Champion Change: Act as a change management leader, helping teams adopt new processes and technologies with confidence and clarity.
  • Agile Execution: Work within Agile frameworks to deliver iterative improvements and respond quickly to evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Partner with stakeholders across IT and business units to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful delivery.
  • Optimize & Innovate: Recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve performance, reduce risk, and enhance user experience.
  • Creating and maintaining ServiceNow objects like tables, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI polices, etc.

What You Bring

  • Deep expertise in ServiceNow development, including ITSM, ITOM, SAM Pro, Service Portal, Integration Hub, and Performance Analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience with Scoped Applications, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
  • Proven success in REST API integrations, LDAP, Active Directory, JDBC, and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently on complex problems and make sound recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Agile mindset with experience working in iterative development environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing automation workflows within the ServiceNow platform to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ITOM certifications.
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience leading assurance reviews and post-implementation evaluations.
