We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to drive outbound pipeline for a fast-moving private equity firm actively sourcing acquisition targets across service company verticals. You will research prospects, build pre-call intelligence reports using AI tools, manage outbound outreach, qualify leads, and book meetings for the deal team.
This role is heavier on research and preparation than a typical SDR position. Before every call, you will be expected to build a structured company and contact brief using Claude or similar AI tools so the deal team walks in fully prepared. If you have a sales background, know your way around Salesforce, and are genuinely skilled at using AI to produce fast, accurate research and reports, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Work On
Pre-Call Research and Report Building
- Build structured company and contact intelligence reports ahead of every outbound call using Claude or similar AI tools
- Research target companies across verticals including IT managed services, marketing agencies, BPO, accounting and finance, logistics, SaaS, software development, and recruiting
- Summarize key business context, ownership structure, financials where available, growth signals, and likely motivations for a potential transaction
- Ensure the deal team walks into every call fully briefed and prepared
Outbound Prospecting and Pipeline Management
- Identify and build target lists of prospective acquisition targets across defined service verticals
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage business owners and senior decision-makers
- Qualify prospects against defined acquisition criteria and move qualified leads efficiently to booked meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all outreach, qualification activity, and pipeline status in Salesforce
Meeting Booking and Handoff
- Book qualified meetings for the deal team with full context and pre-call briefing attached
- Coordinate scheduling and follow-up to keep prospects engaged through the handoff process
- Track meeting conversion rates and flag patterns in prospect quality or objections proactively
What You Bring
- Proven sales or SDR experience with a track record of outbound prospecting and meeting booking
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce for managing leads, tracking activity, and maintaining pipeline records
- Strong working proficiency with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, specifically for research, summarization, and report building rather than just general use
- Ability to produce fast, accurate, well-structured company briefs and contact intelligence reports independently
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills with a confident and professional tone
- Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to manage high outreach volume and research output simultaneously
- Comfortable engaging business owners and senior decision-makers across a range of service industries
Nice to Have
- Experience in a deal sourcing, M&A, private equity, or investment banking environment
- Familiarity with service company verticals such as IT managed services, marketing agencies, BPO, accounting, logistics, SaaS, or recruiting
- Background using tools such as PitchBook, Crunchbase, Apollo, or ZoomInfo for prospect research
- Experience supporting a deal team or senior executives with research and pre-meeting preparation
