About the Department
You will be assigned to Solution Sales Section 2 within Rakuten Mobile, Inc.
We currently have 13 members who have joined us from various industries. We provide flexible consulting proposals tailored to our clients' needs, without being constrained by conventional frameworks. Our mission is to combine the diverse services within and outside the Rakuten Group to solve our clients' challenges in the long term and support their revenue growth.
About the Service:Rakuten Connect SmaCom
Our department's primary focus product, "Rakuten Connect SmaCom," is a cloud-based telephony service that allows users to make and receive company calls not only in the office but also from home or remote work environments, provided there is an internet connection.
Its strengths include 24/7 support, the ease of starting with 0 yen in initial costs, and a high-quality calling environment unique to a mobile carrier. We meet a wide range of customer needs, from specialized contact center functions to the migration of general business phones to the cloud.

Position Details
- Upselling and follow-up sales to existing customers: We introduce new features and propose solutions tailored to customer needs to improve customer satisfaction and create cross-selling opportunities.
- New customer acquisition: We acquire new leads through web inquiries, trade shows, referrals from group companies, and nurturing activities.
Experience gained in this role
- Solid proposal skills: You will hone practical sales skills, from new business development for corporate clients to upselling to existing customers, by leveraging Rakuten Group's know-how.
- Acquisition of specialized knowledge: You will quickly gain knowledge useful at the forefront of the IT/telecommunications industry, such as communication platforms like SmaCom and DX-related products.
Position Details
- Upselling and follow-up sales to existing customers
We aim to improve CS by introducing new feature updates and the most suitable solutions for existing customers, while creating cross-selling opportunities.
- Approach to new customers
In addition to inquiries from the web, we conduct nurturing activities for leads obtained from trade shows, referrals from group companies, and potential customers encountered at past events.
Clients/Target
The market is broad, and all corporate entities that use mobile and fixed-line phones for business are our existing customers and targets for new acquisition. Our existing clients range from enterprises to SMBs.

- Organizational Structure: The section is small and organized into two groups, valuing agility and mobility.
- Corporate Culture: While prioritizing on-site feedback and customer support, we promote operational efficiency with a sense of speed. It is a flat environment where opinions and ideas can be voiced freely, and the team respects the experience of each member.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in solution-based corporate sales.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in proposing IT-related intangible products/services, or experience in agency/partner sales.

If you have a history of achieving a TOEIC score of 800 or higher but are unable to submit a certificate, you will be required to take the TOEIC IP test hosted by our company during the selection process.
