Job Description:
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.
We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
The Shared Applications and Services (SAS) organization was created in 2023 to manage shared tools across the bank, such as workflow platforms, document systems, and process automation. Within SAS, the Workflow Tribe delivers secure, scalable workflow solutions and plays a key role in driving innovation and agility across the bank. It works in an agile setup with Squads and Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to support collaboration and continuous delivery.
The DevOps Lead is responsible for defining and driving the DevOps strategy across the engineering teams at Workflow Tribe Level, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery of applications on the target infrastructure. The role includes technical leadership and people management, automation, reliability engineering, and close collaboration with development, QA, and IT operations teams.

- Manage and enhance GCP‑based cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes/GKE, Docker‑based workloads, IAM, networking, and secure configuration
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring consistent, reproducible environments and Git‑driven infrastructure workflows
- Ensure observability, stability, and incident response excellence, using Prometheus, NewRelic, and SDLC processes (e.g., ServiceNow) to solve complex production issues.
Skills
- Cloud-Native & Platform Expertise – Strong hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, Docker and Linux, plus a solid understanding of security, IAM and certificate management.
- Automation & IaC – Advanced scripting skills (Bash, Python) and strong experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Git-driven processes.
- CI/CD Engineering – Expertise in Git, build tools (Maven), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity), with a focus on end-to-end automation.
- Observability & Reliability – Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, New Relic, Geneos) and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in distributed systems.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Strong technical leadership skills, mentoring, clear communication with senior stakeholders, and effective operation across the entire SDLC, including change and incident management.
