Description

Who We Are

At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it’s cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It’s how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We’re headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you’re excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

About the Role

SchoolCash is the heart of KEV — the platform that moves $8B+ annually across 27,000+ schools and the product our customers depend on every day. As we scale, the next chapter of KEV Group will define how K–12 finance is run across North America for the next decade. We're looking for a Vice President, Product to own that chapter.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and joining the senior leadership team, the Vice President of Product will set the long-term vision, strategy, and product roadmap for our core flagship products. You will lead and grow the product organization behind it, and own the commercial outcomes of the platform. You will be the executive voice of product internally, with customers, with partners, and with our PE sponsor. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product executive who has scaled a flagship B2B SaaS platform, has deep instincts for payments and FinTech, and knows how to balance bold strategy with relentless execution

How You’ll Contribute

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of SaaS products — driving revenue growth, customer value, and long-term market positioning
  • Set the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmaps for KEV Group  — defining how KEV's flagship platform evolves to deepen its moat and expand its impact across the K–12 finance ecosystem
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product organization — including managers of managers, with accountability for hiring, developing, and retaining top product talent
  • Own the commercial performance of the core platforms — partnering with the executive team on revenue growth, net retention, pricing strategy, and platform monetization
  • Serve as a member of KEV's senior leadership team — contributing to company-wide strategy, operating cadence, and culture, and representing product to the Board and PE sponsor
  • Drive platform-level decisions on architecture, partnerships, build vs. buy, and M&A integration — ensuring our products scale technically and commercially
  • Lead payments and FinTech innovation across the platform — expanding our payment rails, financial workflows, and embedded services to capture more of the K–12 dollar
  • Champion customer obsession at scale — engaging directly with districts, schools, and bookkeepers, and embedding their voice into how the platform evolves
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success — ensuring tightly integrated go-to-market execution and a seamless customer experience
  • Establish the operating model for the product org — including planning rhythms, prioritization frameworks, success metrics, and product operations practices that scale
  • Embed AI and data-driven capabilities across our product teams — positioning our platform at the forefront of where K–12 FinTech is headed

Who You Are

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with a strong background in B2B SaaS (FinTech and payments strongly preferred)
  • 7+ years leading and scaling product organizations, including managers of managers (typically responsible for orgs of 15+)
  • Proven track record of owning a flagship product or platform end-to-end — with measurable impact on revenue, retention, and market position
  • Executive-level commercial acumen — including P&L ownership, pricing and packaging strategy, and revenue accountability at the platform level
  • Experience operating in PE-backed or high-growth environments, with the discipline to balance value creation with operational execution
  • Deep understanding of payments, financial workflows, or regulated B2B environments — and an instinct for where AI and embedded finance create the next wave of customer value
  • Demonstrated ability to set bold long-term strategy while remaining close enough to execution to consistently ship great product
  • Strong systems thinker with a first-principles approach to complex platform, market, and business challenges
  • Boardroom-ready communicator who can align executive stakeholders, influence at the C-suite, and represent KEV externally with credibility
  • Track record of building a product culture that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, scaling environments with evolving priorities and high accountability
