In order to take our Engineering and Training Simulators to the next level, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a passionate:
Software Developer Simulation (d/f/m)
We develop top notch, high fidelity simulations for a variety of aircraft, supporting the entire development life cycle. We have the technical responsibility for all our simulators. We design, develop, integrate and deliver complex training & engineering simulations to our customers. At the core, our simulations are distributed real-time applications. Most of our software is written in C++, but you might also find yourself writing & adopting Python or Ada occasionally.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Design the architecture of software models and components for new simulator functionality
- Develop simulation models (C++) representing aircraft equipment and sub-/systems
- Create and perform unit tests of simulation models and modules (C++ / Python)
- Create tools for improving our development processes (e.g. code generators)
- Perform integration and acceptance testing
Desired skills and qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience required
- Extensive experience in Software architecture, design and development
- Excellent C++ skills, Other programming languages / Frameworks are welcome (Qt / QML, Ada, Python...)
- English negotiation level
- Experience with Tornado or Eurofighter Avionics would be beneficial
