Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong techno-functional expertise and deep data capabilities across investment data domains such as IBOR, ABOR, PBOR, Risk, Analytics, Performance, and Attribution. This role focusses on building and supporting end-to-end Risk Technology solutions supporting Equity, Passive, Solutions, and Fixed Income asset classes.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external data providers/vendors such as FactSet, Aladdin, and State Street to design, develop, deliver, and support data pipelines, APIs, and interactive web dashboards that enable effective risk management and decision-making. Your role will involve gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions, and guiding developers to deliver high-quality, scalable systems leveraging modern cloud-based data architecture.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Collaborate with global business partners and stakeholders across Equity, Passive, Solutions, and Fixed Income asset classes to understand risk and investment data needs, including IBOR, ABOR, PBOR, Risk, Analytics, Performance, and Attribution.
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities including requirements gathering, functional specification, user stories, and process documentation.
- Capture and document detailed requirements as Jira user stories for the product backlog, supporting Agile delivery in bi-weekly sprints.
- Partner with software developers, data engineers, and architects to design, build, test, deploy, and support data pipelines, APIs, and front-end dashboards that integrate complex investment data.
- Provide input and guidance on data architecture with a strong understanding of cloud-based technology stacks and data warehousing best practices.
- Work closely with technology teams leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, and tools including Snowflake, dbt and Airflow.
- Manage relationships and coordinate with external data providers and vendors such as FactSet, Aladdin, and State Street, ensuring data quality, timely delivery, and alignment with business requirements.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure alignment, timely issue resolution, and successful delivery and support of solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs, compliance standards, and quality expectations, including implementing both business and technical data quality checks to ensure data integrity.
- Lead shift-left initiatives by thoroughly documenting system functionality and process flow and providing knowledge transfer sessions to L1 and L2 support teams to free up capacity for build team.
- Support user acceptance testing and prepare documentation for ongoing system support.
- Mentor and guide developers and team members on product backlog, functionality of systems to develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities for process and technology improvements.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple teams and time zones.
