AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Commercial Manager for their Rail Systems business to support complex design & build projects. This role is responsible for the commercial performance of projects, ensuring robust contract management, cost control, and value optimization within a regulated railway environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in a consultancy or contractor environment, preferably in UK Rail or infrastructure, with public sector procurement knowledge and a strong understanding of commercial drivers. The role involves leading commercial support, managing client relationships, implementing commercial controls, supporting claims resolution, and leading a commercial team.
AtkinsRealis are recruiting for a permanent Commercial Manager to join their growing Rail Systems business, supporting the delivery of complex design & build projects.
This role will take responsibility for the commercial performance of projects, ensuring robust contract management, cost control, and value optimisation while supporting successful delivery in a highly regulated railway environment.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a consultancy or contractor environment, preferably within the UK Rail or infrastructure, with experience of public sector procurement processes and must understand commercial drivers such as balancing risk, opportunity and financial returns within project delivery.
The candidate should have extensive experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role with a track record of tendering and/or delivering projects.
They report to the Senior Commercial Manager and will become an integral member of a growing commercial team.
