Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Coordinator to join our growing team in Jacksonville and Tallahassee, FL.
This position serves as the secondary service contact for the Account Manager and acts as support for the benefits department. This position is primarily responsible for assistance with data entry and day-to-day servicing under the supervision of the Department Team Leader and Account Managers as assigned. Works closely with all department teammates to ensure day to day service needs are met.
How You Will Contribute:
- Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages. Above average skills with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents.
- Must be responsive to all emails. All emails should be responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
- Drafting, constructing, and reviewing various reports for customer / prospect presentations including demographic and financial analysis as assigned accordingly.
- Manage and maintain Benefits Account Management (BAM) System.
- Maintain monthly expiration reports.
- Create and deliver monthly customer communications as needed.
ON ALL ASSIGNED ACCOUNTS:
- Assist Account Managers with annual renewal process, census preparation, open enrollment, and new business implementation.
- Maintain effective information management between Account Manager, Producer, Customer and Carrier through all applicable means of communication.
- Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files maintained in BAM.
- Promote teamwork, positive attitude, and commitment to department/agency goals.
- Follow Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Obtain full working knowledge of Benefits action items, activities and cases.
- Assist and support benefits team with open enrollment meetings and materials, including creating employee benefits guides and flyers.
- Obtain full working knowledge of BAM/AMS Policy coding, Producer/Carrier Commission splits.
- Be responsible for the completion of any assigned projects.
- Other duties as assigned by EB Team leader.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional telephone demeanor and e-mail etiquette
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Professional business attire
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- Willing to obtain Florida 2-15 license and to satisfy licensing continuing education requirements once obtained
