Overview

As a Civil Co-Op Student, you will join the Engineering team and support a variety of nuclear engineering projects while gaining hands-on experience through training, mentoring, and real-world project exposure. Based in Mississauga or Pickering, this opportunity offers valuable insight into technical, engineering interface, and project management activities within a safety-focused and innovative industry.
Your Role
- Support Engineers, Discipline Leads, and Engineering Managers in day-to-day engineering activities and coordination
- Assist in delivering work in accordance with AtkinsRealis Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Document Control, Project Management, and field teams, on assigned task scopes
- Collaborate with members of the civil team to facilitate workflow, document reviews, and Request for Information (RFI) correspondence
- Attend technical and project coordination meetings
- Contribute to engineering and project management activities across various projects
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment
About You
- Ability to apply engineering principles to practical solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, or StaadPro is an asset
- Aptitude for planning, organization, multitasking, and working in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Program with an accredited Canadian University
