We are looking for a Strategic Account Director to lead commercial growth across a designated portfolio of our high-value customer accounts.
At our core, we help organizations transform weather and environmental uncertainty into a predictive operational and commercial advantage. This role is central to that mission. You will deepen executive relationships, expand the use of our platform across the enterprise, and help customers embed weather-driven intelligence into critical decisions across operations, supply chain, infrastructure, merchandising, and customer engagement.
This is not a traditional account management or renewal role. It is a strategic growth role focused on account expansion, stakeholder orchestration, and complex solution selling. You will work within a high-performance account pod alongside Solutions Engineering and technical executive leadership, forming a commercial and technical team built to solve complex customer challenges and drive long-term value.
Together, you will engage senior technology and business leaders, uncover operational and data challenges, and position our platform as essential infrastructure for organizations that need to anticipate disruption, improve resilience, and act on real-time weather and environmental insight.
Location: Remote (Canada/US), with travel required to key customers within your territory.
Please note, despite being a remote role, it requires you to be located in be eligible to work in the US (United States of America) OR Canada and occasional travel to client locations.
WHAT DOES THE DAY-TO-DAY LOOK LIKE:
Own and grow a strategic portfolio: Lead the commercial strategy for a portfolio of key accounts, protecting recurring revenue while delivering aggressive net growth and expansion against your territory baseline.
Elevate weather into executive priorities: Engage senior technology and business leaders - including CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and VPs across Infrastructure, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations - to position weather and environmental intelligence as a core driver of resilience, forecasting, and competitive advantage.
Drive enterprise-wide expansion: Lead complex, multi-threaded sales motions that expand usage beyond individual teams and transform localized use cases into enterprise-wide, cross-functional partnerships.
Sell strategic solutions, not products: Lead consultative sales cycles across cloud-native platforms, modern data architecture, risk mitigation, workflow automation, and operational decision support, connecting our solutions directly to measurable business outcomes.
Translate weather data into business value: Help customers understand how real-time and predictive weather insights can improve planning, reduce disruption, strengthen asset protection, optimize inventory and staffing, and support faster, smarter decision-making.
Lead post-sale commercial ownership: Partner closely with Account Executives during transition and onboarding, then assume full commercial ownership of the customer relationship, identifying and capturing expansion opportunities from year one onward.
Orchestrate your account pod: Work cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to maximize adoption, accelerate ROI, and develop compelling customer success stories.
Run disciplined account strategy: Maintain rigorous visibility into pipeline, account health, stakeholder maps, opportunity progression, and technical environments, ensuring each account is mapped across decision-makers, business priorities, and technology ecosystems.
WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:
Experienced enterprise seller: 5-10+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong record of success in strategic account growth, revenue retention, and expansion within complex mid-market or enterprise environments.
Fluent in platforms and data: Experience selling SaaS, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, analytics, or technical solutions into complex organizations. Familiarity with cloud ecosystems and marketplaces such as Snowflake, GCP, and Azure is strongly preferred.
Understands high-impact data use cases: You know how to sell solutions tied to operational performance, risk reduction, and strategic planning. Experience with geospatial, GIS, environmental, climate, or meteorological data is a strong advantage.
Strong solution seller: Proven ability to navigate long sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, uncover technical and business pain points, and convert them into high-value commercial outcomes.
Executive relationship builder: Strong presence with senior buyers and the ability to build trust, influence priorities, and lead value-based conversations at the C-suite and VP level.
Highly collaborative: Comfortable working in close partnership with Solutions Engineers, Architects, Product leaders, and Customer Success teams to shape tailored solutions and articulate measurable ROI.
Curious and commercially sharp: Deep interest in modern SaaS, cloud ecosystems, secure data sharing, workflow automation, and the growing role of predictive intelligence in enterprise decision-making.
