The Facilities Operations Manager is a critical and demanding team-lead role responsible for enabling and supporting site teams to carry out day-to-day facility operations and ensure compliance across all aspects of facility, security and EHS responsibilities.

The role:
- You will lead and support an expert team to success by setting the vision, building the plan and using your unique leadership skills to foster a strong and safe team culture that delivers results.
- In this role you will demonstrate high level of problem-solving and analytical ability focused on continuous improvement, and proactive engagement and customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
- Successful applicant will possess high level of technical knowledge in Facility Management principles, regulatory standards, operational budgets, contractor management and process development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible national oversight of day-to-day facility management operations, including supervision and tasking of all facility management personnel
- Ensure facilities and assets are maintained in line with regulatory compliance requirements.
- Develop strong working knowledge of internal operational policies relating to security, global trade and EHS to ensure internal compliance and support the team through continuous changes to maintain currency across site FM process
- Manage various service agreements and contractor management to ensure high level of performance and results
- Support and guide the team with technical advice and guidance as a Facility management SME
- Manage internal facility management systems and team workflows
- Support Facilities Lead with development of annual operational site budgets, regular reviews, reconciliation, report on budgetary issues and concerns.
- Understanding of all landlord / tenant obligations and managing operational and contractual requirements as necessary.
- Liaise with all stakeholders and provide project coordination support for all building fit out changes /upgrades and plant & equipment modifications.
- Regular review and improvement of facility management manuals and internal processes, along with asset management framework
- Support and participate in all audit, insurance and operational compliance activities
- Be the after-hours and escalation POC for on-call roster as required - this includes an ability to respond to site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for after hours and emergencies.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience across Facility Management, construction or building projects coordination and leading a team
- Technical knowledge of building systems and infrastructure
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative framework, industry standards and industry compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills, proactive attitude and high level of customer service
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems and collaboration platforms including Microsoft systems, SharePoint and Service Now
