Job Description Summary:
We're accelerating our momentum as the fastest-growing large consumer goods company in Latin America. People are our focus — whether we're collaborating with our diverse network of locally connected bottling partners or returning every drop of water we use to communities and nature. We empower our employees to challenge the status quo, make bold recommendations, experiment, and adapt, so we can grow together and make great business even better.
The Director, Stills Strategy owns the development and stewardship of the strategic agenda for the Stills business in Mexico. You will lead performance tracking and business intelligence for the category, turning data and insights into actionable commercial recommendations at the market level. This is a highly visible role that connects Strategy, Commercial, Marketing, Franchise Units, and our bottling partners.
What You'll Do for Us
- Own performance tracking: Manage, track, and integrate multiple data sources and key performance indicators for the Stills business.
- Turn data into action: Diagnose the business, identify granular opportunities, and design actionable commercial levers at the market level.
- Run business routines: Lead the management routines for the Stills business, ensuring the right data and insights keep the organization focused on strategic pillars and aligned with short-term company targets.
- Shape the strategic view: Provide a clear understanding of the Stills business landscape — its opportunities, risks, and implications — along with factual insights and performance improvement recommendations.
- Support senior leadership: Identify system-wide matters requiring attention and provide ongoing support to the Operations Head.
- Build the network: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Franchise Units, Strategy, Commercial, and Marketing functions, as well as with Bottlers and Jugos del Valle.
- Connect and scale best practices: Act as a connector across the system — capturing, importing, and exporting good ideas while managing uncertainty and multiple senior stakeholders.
Scope
- Full accountability for the strategy agenda of the Mexico Stills business.
- Reports to the Senior Director, Strategy Mexico.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of business and/or functional experience in operations- or strategy-related areas, gained in consulting firms and/or the consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of collaborating with and influencing multifunctional peers and senior stakeholders.
Functional Skills
- Negotiation, influence, and communication: Align strategies and build value-based relationships through sensitive situations, typically with bottlers. Manage complex relationships, align diverse interests, and navigate ambiguity across senior stakeholders.
- Synthesis & storytelling: Communicate, influence, and convince stakeholders through structured, fact-based, action-oriented storytelling.
- Business acumen: Translate data and insights into recommendations that inform key business decisions, bringing an outside-in perspective that keeps teams grounded.
- Problem framing & problem-solving: Structure strategic questions, evaluate scenarios, and support leadership in high-impact decisions. Structure and lead complex cross-functional analyses and initiatives.
- Strategic thinking: Integrate diverse business insights and connect the dots to develop holistic approaches.
- Decision-making: Make informed decisions under pressure, factoring in the implications for the company's performance in the market.
- Franchise leadership: Drive conversations toward practical application and leverage connections across the Coca-Cola System network.
