As the Government Affairs Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will lead market expansion by securing access to critical infrastructure, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving operational success in a highly regulated environment. You will develop strategic partnerships with public and private entities, navigate complex government processes, and ensure compliance while establishing access to high-value transportation hubs across the country.
About the Role
Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills
Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, municipal councils, and regulatory bodies to support business growth
Lead region strategy and align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks
Represent the company in discussions with transportation authorities and media and prepare materials for hearings and public consultations
Lead site acquisition, ensuring compliance with zoning, permitting, and safety standards across jurisdictions
Develop partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities
Serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums
Up to 30% business travel as needed
Manage up to two direct reports, depending on organizational needs, with responsibilities evolving over time
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field
7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities
Demonstrated success in owning business strategy and securing agreements with government agencies or private stakeholders to support business growth
2+ years of project management experience with strong knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems
1+ years of people management experience or experience leading cross-functional teams with in-direct reporting lines
Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and analyzing policies to identify risks and opportunities
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to senior officials and business leaders
Familiarity with real estate transactions, land-use planning, and infrastructure development
Experience with RFPs and grant writing is a plus but not required
Up to 30% travel as business needs arise
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD
