Description
Dr. Steven Aeschliman is looking for a Treatment Coordinator to serve as a patient advocate and educator by
presenting patients with treatment plans, explaining insurance contributions and discussing
the patient’s financial resources. Treatment Coordinators support providers by exhibiting an
efficient, knowledgeable and positive demeanor during every patient interaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome patients by greeting them promptly and engaging in conversation
- Schedule and confirm appointments, answer the telephone, assist with patient questions
- Enter and track treatment plans in the group’s computer system
- Act as a subject matter expert on the insurance plans accepted by the group, including their limitations and exclusions
- Market the Mosaic Dental Collective Plan
- Meet with patients to discuss the treatment that has been recommended by providers, establish a treatment schedule, explain insurance contributions, and establish a financial agreement
- Submit insurance claims to each patient’s insurance company with accuracy
- Collect payments from patients on any amount that may be owed, including current treatment being performed as well as past due balances; handle payments in accordance with the group’s Cash Handling Policy
- Maintain patient confidence by protecting and appropriately handling all PHI (Protected Health Information)
- Follow up on any unscheduled treatment
- Partner with clinical providers to ensure they feel supported, participate in team huddles daily, proactively monitor the flow of the office
- Address patient complaints in a timely and compassionate manner, transition escalated patients to management as appropriate
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies only as needed to accomplish results
- Other duties as may be assigned or modified as business needs dictate
Pay Range $24.24-$29.50 hr
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related work experience
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patients, and the general public
- Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Open Dental software preferred
