We are seeking a General Site Superintendent for Marine Works in the UAE. This role involves leading day-to-day marine construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution in line with project schedules and quality standards. You will manage resources, subcontractors, and the workforce, coordinate specialized marine construction packages (dredging, piling, breakwaters, etc.), and oversee marine logistics and site operations. The position requires close collaboration with the Construction Manager and planning teams, and involves regular progress reporting.
We are inviting experienced General Site Superintendents to register their interest for future opportunities across major marine and coastal infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
Projects are expected to include large-scale marine and coastal developments requiring experienced field leaders with a proven track record in managing complex marine construction operations and multidisciplinary site teams.
Your Contribution:• Lead the day-to-day execution of marine construction activities across the project site
• Take overall responsibility for site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and technical requirements
• Manage marine construction resources, subcontractors, supervisors, and workforce to maintain productivity and project performance
• Provide leadership and direction to Site Superintendents responsible for specialized marine construction packages
• Coordinate the execution of major marine works including dredging, marine piling, breakwaters, block walls, jetty construction, quay walls, and other coastal infrastructure works
• Ensure effective coordination between marine construction activities to maintain continuous workflow throughout project execution
• Resolve site coordination issues that may impact construction progress
• Oversee marine site logistics, vessel coordination, marine plant and equipment allocation, and workforce deployment
• Monitor construction progress and optimize the utilization of marine equipment, labour, and project resources
• Promote compliance with project health, safety, environmental, and maritime safety requirements throughout project execution
• Work closely with the Construction Manager to align field execution with project objectives and construction schedules
• Monitor marine construction progress and provide regular updates on project performance
• Coordinate with planning teams to ensure field activities remain aligned with schedules developed in Primavera or MS Project
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a General Site Superintendent on large-scale marine or coastal infrastructure projects
• Between 60% and 70% of your professional experience gained within main contractor organizations
• Proven marine site leadership experience within the United Arab Emirates and/or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies and large-scale site execution
• Experience managing marine construction works including dredging, marine piling, breakwaters, block walls, jetty construction, quay walls, and related coastal infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of marine site logistics, vessel coordination, equipment deployment, construction sequencing, and workforce planning
• Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera and MS Project
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Practical, hands-on approach to marine construction management and field execution
• Excellent coordination, communication, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities within demanding marine project environments
