WMH Solutions is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support forklifts and material handling equipment at the Honda Manufacturing facility in Talladega, Alabama.
This is a dedicated-site technician role supporting industrial equipment inside a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have experience as a forklift technician, industrial maintenance technician, heavy equipment mechanic, diesel technician, automotive technician, plant maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, or equipment mechanic, this could be a strong next step in your career.
You’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment that help keep production, warehouse operations, and plant movement running smoothly.

What You’ll Work On
You will maintain, diagnose, and repair material handling and industrial equipment used within the Honda facility.
Equipment and systems may include:
- Forklifts
- Electric forklifts
- Internal combustion forklifts
- Pallet jacks
- Material handling equipment
- Industrial batteries and charging systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical drive systems
- Related warehouse and production support equipment
Your ability to troubleshoot quickly, repair accurately, and communicate professionally will help minimize downtime and keep operations moving.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and operational concerns
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or failed components
- Perform safety inspections and operational checks
- Help ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use
Honda Facility Support
- Support material handling equipment operating within the Honda plant
- Respond to equipment needs in a timely and professional manner
- Help minimize downtime and support production continuity
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, heat, cold, humidity, and changing conditions
- Maintain awareness of customer expectations, safety standards, and production demands
Documentation & Communication
- Accurately document work performed, labor time, parts used, and repair details
- Communicate equipment status and repair needs clearly
- Coordinate with WMH leadership, customer contacts, and internal support teams as needed
- Follow company procedures for service documentation, safety, and reporting
Schedule & Work Expectations
This position is based at the Honda Manufacturing facility in Talladega, Alabama.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
- 2nd Shift ( 4:00 PM–12:30 AM )
- +$1.00/hr shift differential
Weekend work may be required based on Honda production needs. Weekend schedules are generally communicated in advance.
We’re looking for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping industrial equipment running.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electrical and hydraulic diagnostics
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Ability to read and follow service procedures
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work 2nd shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, heat, cold, humidity, and changing conditions
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- Forklift repair
- Material handling equipment
- Industrial maintenance
- Heavy equipment
- Diesel repair
- Automotive repair
- Plant maintenance
- Construction equipment
- Agricultural equipment
- Fleet maintenance
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
Forklift or material handling experience is preferred, but strong technicians from automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, fleet maintenance, or plant maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
