The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, support and management of the DATAMARK IT Infrastructure. These responsibilities include all technical aspects of design, configuration, Operations and documentation of the network and systems infrastructure. Must be well-versed in Server, Cloud, Networking, Security, Monitoring, Core Services, Application Performance, Data Storage, etc.

  • Provides technical leadership through analysis, design, implementation, and support of DATAMARK IT Environment. Configures, installs, maintains, tests, analyzes, evaluates, and upgrades computing environment and services
  • Develops and Maintains documentation and standards to direct the system activities
  • Selects the best possible solutions leveraging knowledge of wide range of available technologies
  • Monitors Systems and networks to ensure there are no productivity setbacks
  • Implements best practices for systems Cloud, security and backups. Determines bottleneck in the current systems and suggest solutions to problems
  • Anticipates potential issues of bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions. Determine issues with business Internet connectivity, WAN technologies, remote access and VPN configuration
  • Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues as they arise
  • Communicates effectively with IT Support staff to ensure operational process runs smoothly
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to the team, must be willing to develop the technical skills of other team members whenever possible
  • Manages Windows Servers, virtualization, Cloud, active directory, routers, switches, firewalls, SAN/NAS, IP phones, smartphones, software deployments, security updates and patches
  • Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments
  • Ensures the integrity of file servers, VPN gateways, EDR and intrusion detection/protection systems are reliable and secure
  • Demonstrates flexibility in job responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Field Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the IT systems field

Position Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an IT Systems Engineer position

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in networking and application-level operations
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)/ Azure Certification preferred
  • VMWare Certification and Cisco Certification preferred
  • Experience with and knowledge of operating systems and server solutions (Exchange, Office365, SQL, Virtual Desktop environment, IIS, AD).
  • Familiarity with IT systems administration, Performance tuning and system monitoring,
  • Telecommunications, call tracing, SIP traffic and VoIP experience
  • Multi-channel contact center experience is preferred
  • PCI, SOC & HIPAA Compliance experience preferred
  • Broad knowledge of technology fundamentals across all disciplines, e.g. software delivery, datacenter environment, network architecture, IT security, IT project management. - Preferred
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment. Knowledge of industry standards for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management. ITIL Foundations certification (v3 or v4) - Preferred
  • Experience using IT Service Management workflow systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Service Manager, etc. - Preferred
  • Background of IT delivery in multiple industries and locations. Experience working in both matrix and pyramid organizations. - Preferred
  • Occasional travel
