Blue Man Group Orlando is looking for on-call Front of House Staff.
The Front of House Staff position is an outgoing and charismatic team player that ensures smooth guest traffic flow, supports audience safety and comfort, maintains venue cleanliness, maintains up to date knowledge of pricing, availability, and seating options, and delivers exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high energy environments and enjoys interacting with people from all over the world. We are looking for someone with personality and sales instincts who can bring the spirit of Blue Man Group to life. The ideal candidate knows how to naturally connect with people, create curiosity, drive excitement, and motivate a team. This role plays a key part in creating memorable experiences for guests while upholding Blue Man Group values and artistic vision.
Key Responsibilities

- Greet guests with a polite and friendly manner;
- Create a fun, welcoming, high-energy atmosphere that reflects the Blue Man Group brand;
- Engage passersby in a natural, authentic, and entertaining way;
- Scan and verify tickets and direct guests to their seats;
- Process ticket sales and upsells, ensuring prompt and courteous service to all guests;
- Assist with ADA requests, ticketing problems, Will Call, and bookings required by partners and groups;
- Work outside at the Blue Man Group Kiosk to energetically promote and sell the show;
- Escalate ticketing problems or customer service issues to a supervisor as necessary;
- Maintain a neat, positive, and safe work environment and a clean and presentable demeanor based on BMG’s appearance policy;
- Inform guests about the location of the restrooms, concessions, exits, and other locations;
- Monitor audience safety, comfort, and adherence to show policies;
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to audience inquiries and concerns;
- Assist with late seating and emergency situations, including evacuations when necessary;
- Execute assigned in-show Front of House cues seamlessly;
- Monitor the audience to prevent unauthorized photography, video recording, or audio taping;
- Assist guests with disabilities or other impairments, as needed;
- Perform pre- and post-show clean-up of all guest areas;
- Provide educated answers to guest questions and be able to provide detailed information regarding BMG show details and general information about the neighborhood (parking, directions, restaurants, etc);
- Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
- Contribute to a safe and positive working environment at all times by adhering to and following all Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group standards, values, policies and regulations pertaining to safety using equipment and established working methods;
- Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support;
- All other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous experience in guest service-based industries, or in a similar environment;
- Knowledge of Outbox Ticketing System or other similar ticketing platform;
- Possess the ability to learn ticketing software and retain a high level of complex information with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system and retain operational knowledge;
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances;
- Consistent professional and neat presentation following food safety hygiene guidelines;
- Comfort working in a high-energy loud, environment with varying temperatures and climates, with an ability to interact with the public;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Ability to clearly and effectively communicate via headset;
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays;
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: climbing, crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 50lbs, working with limited to no visibility; Full list of essential functions will be sent in the offer. This is an on-call hourly position, eligible for overtime and 401k. The compensation is location-specific and compensation in other geographies may vary. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided upon elements related, but not limited to: skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
