Description

Commercial Finance Manager – Hybrid

About Daniels Health
Daniels Health is a mission–driven healthcare services company, providing safe, sustainable and compliant solutions for medical waste management and sharps disposal. We partner with hospitals and healthcare providers to improve safety, reduce environmental impact and enhance operational efficiency across their facilities. As we continue to scale across the US, we’re investing in experienced commercial finance leaders who can help us build a more data–driven, performance–focused and growth–oriented operation.

The opportunity

We’re seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to own financial performance across a key operational environment, partnering directly with leadership to drive profitable growth and operational excellence in a scaling business. In this hybrid role, you’ll split your time between the office and working from home, providing strategic financial leadership and analytical insight across operations.

You’ll own planning, reporting and analysis, ensuring performance is aligned with broader financial objectives, commercial strategy and compliance standards. As Daniels Health grows its footprint and service offering nationally, you’ll play a central role in building the financial frameworks, disciplines and insights that support sustainable scaling.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the budgeting and planning cycle for operations, setting realistic, performance–driven financial targets that support growth.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including variance analysis and clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Own detailed P&L analysis, highlighting drivers of performance, risks and opportunities for improvement in a scaling environment.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and scenario plans to support strategic decisions, investments and expansion initiatives.
  • Act as a primary financial advisor to leadership, providing insight and challenge on commercial and operational strategies.
  • Partner with operational leaders (e.g. plant, transport, customer service) to translate operational metrics into financial insight and improve outcomes.
  • Design and maintain KPIs, dashboards and scorecards that clearly show operational performance and progress against growth objectives.
  • Drive cost–reduction and efficiency initiatives across overheads, labor and administrative processes without compromising safety or service.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, ensure compliance with policies and regulations and support audit processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital, supporting inventory, replenishment and route or service efficiency.
  • Analyze customer and segment profitability, pricing and margins, and provide financial input into contract negotiations and commercial decisions.
  • Visit national site locations to provide on–site financial support, review performance and share best practice across operations.

About you

You’re comfortable working at both strategic and detail level and enjoy influencing senior stakeholders in a growth context.

You’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering, ideally in a complex, operational or multi–site environment.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and P&L management.
  • A track record of turning data into clear insights that drive action, performance and growth.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and hold leaders accountable for financial outcomes.
  • Good understanding of financial controls, compliance and risk management.
  • Clear, engaging communication skills and the ability to explain finance to non–finance stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CA) preferred

What’s on offer

  • Hybrid working model (blend of office and WFH).
  • Travel to national site locations to build relationships and influence performance across operations.
  • High visibility with leadership and direct influence on commercial and operational performance as Daniels Health continues to scale.
  • A role where your insights and leadership will shape financial strategy and outcomes in a mission–driven healthcare services business.
