Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-managing Sales Development Representative responsible for generating qualified discovery meetings with Australian business owners.

This role focuses on research-driven outbound business development, combining cold calling and LinkedIn outreach to engage decision-makers in meaningful, relevant conversations. The objective is not to sell, but to identify, qualify, and secure high-quality discovery meetings for the Founder.

The role requires full ownership of prospecting, pipeline management, and outreach strategy, with performance measured on the quality and conversion of booked meetings, not activity volume.

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Generate qualified discovery meetings through proactive outbound outreach
  • Conduct cold calls with Australian business owners and decision-makers
  • Initiate meaningful, professional business conversations
  • Introduce our client and identify potential opportunities
  • Qualify prospects and secure committed discovery meetings

LinkedIn Prospecting & Relationship Building

  • Identify and connect with key decision-makers on LinkedIn
  • Send personalised connection requests and follow-ups
  • Engage prospects before and after calls to build credibility and trust
  • Support conversion from outreach to confirmed meetings

Prospect Research & Qualification

  • Research businesses aligned with the Ideal Client Profile (ICP)
  • Identify buying triggers, growth signals, and business needs
  • Analyse company background and decision-makers
  • Prioritise high-quality, high-fit prospects

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain an accurate and organised CRM
  • Record all interactions, notes, and qualification details
  • Manage follow-ups, next steps, and pipeline movement
  • Track buying signals and ensure strong pipeline hygiene

Market Intelligence

  • Provide insights on market trends, objections, and competitor activity
  • Recommend improvements to messaging and outreach strategy
  • Identify emerging opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Must be amendable to work onsite in our office (Quezon Avenue Corner Scout Reyes Diliman QC)
  • Proven experience in business development, lead generation, or outbound sales
  • Strong capability in cold calling and LinkedIn outreach
  • Experience engaging decision-makers and business owners, ideally in the Australian market
  • Ability to self-manage, run independent workflows, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify high-quality prospects
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a remote, performance-driven environment

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Qualified discovery meetings booked
  • Meeting attendance (show-up) rate
  • Qualified opportunities generated

Supporting activity indicators:

  • Cold calls completed
  • Meaningful conversations with decision-makers
  • LinkedIn outreach and engagement
  • Follow-ups completed on time

The role ends at securing a qualified, committed discovery meeting.
