About the Role:


As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new clients, opportunities, or markets to drive revenue growth. You will focus on prospecting, qualifying leads, building early-stage relationships, and converting new opportunities into customers or revenue-generating engagements. You will be part of the Risk Sales team and report directly to Manager, Sales Development.

You Will:

  • Call current and prospective clients to set-up meetings for our Professional Information Business suite of products.
  • Work with Sales Directors, Account Executives and Sales Specialists to create sales campaigns for specific segments. Identify target groups, build prospect lists and produce qualified sales leads through targeted campaigns.
  • Identify and qualify new leads to achieve and exceed personal and team revenue goals.
  • Develop necessary internal relationships with all parts of the Professional Information Business team (Data Strategy, Product, Marketing & Sales).
  • Maintain records of sales calls, contacts and sales campaigns in the global CRM to provide management information.

You Have:

  • 0-2 years of prior experience in business development, sales, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated comfort with high-volume outbound outreach and working toward activity, pipeline and meeting targets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects professionally across phone, email and virtual channels.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Teams; experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools is preferred.
  • Ability to utilize effective influencing strategies to gain agreement or commitment to proposed solutions in order to help advance the sales process to the next level.
  • Ability to drive new business opportunities within new prospects, as well as ability to upsell to existing Dow Jones customers within a team selling environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Language proficiency in English and Mandarin
