Description

SMX is seeking an experienced Sr Communication Specialist to support a critical migration initiative for a federal client in Washington, DC. In this role, you'll be the architect behind powerful stories that connect the platform solution with audiences that matter. You'll craft integrated communication strategies that do more than inform, they inspire action and drive business results. Working at the intersection of creativity and strategy, you'll partner with leadership to translate complex ideas into compelling messages, manage the change in an ever-changing landscape, and measure what matters. This is a hybrid role supporting a Washington DC based customer.

Essential Duties:
 
• Develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies to support the data catalog migration. 
• Creates compelling messages and content
   that drive awareness, understanding, and engagement. 
• Develops multi-channel communication plans and materials including emails, newsletters, videos,
  presentations, and intranet content. Manages communication calendar and ensures timely delivery of messages to target audiences. 
• Collaborates with Board communications team to ensure alignment with organizational messaging and branding. 
• Monitors feedback and adjusts communication approaches as needed. 
• Develops communication materials for executive sponsors and change champions.
 
Required Skills:

• Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in strategic communications, with
at least three (3) years supporting organizational change initiatives or technology implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise, and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience creating multi-media communication content including written materials, videos, and visual communications.
• Demonstrated strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

 
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience working in federal government or financial services organizations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with data-related initiatives or enterprise system implementations preferred.
• Demonstrated excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in an environment that applied Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with product management principles is preferred.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$113,600—$190,900 USD
