The Director, Equipment Finance at Bank of Montreal is responsible for achieving sales targets for Equipment Financing products and services within Canada. This role involves managing a portfolio, employing a consultative sales approach with commercial banking clients, and developing an internal/external network for new business generation. The position requires expertise in deal structuring, proactive business development, and relationship management, acting as an escalation point for complex client issues and securing credit approvals. The role also involves developing market strategies, representing the bank at industry events, and preparing performance reports for senior executives.

The Director – Equipment Finance is accountable to achieve sales targets for Equipment Financing products and services through the management of a portfolio, and a consultative sales/relationship approach with new/existing Canadian Commercial Banking (including Mid Market) clients.
Proactively, and with a long-term focus, develop an internal and external network to generate prospects for new business. Collaborate with relationship partners to generate ideas, identify client solutions, pursue sector marketing efforts, cover clients, and deliver timely solutions.
Provide Equipment Finance deal structuring expertise.
Establish and enhance the Bank’s profile in the community by participating in business and community activities to promote BMO’s Equipment Finance solutions.
Facilitates growth for the Bank through business development and management of key client relationships. Maintains an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
