The Human Resources Administrator at McGill University assists with HR business processes and serves as an HR resource for employees at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI). Responsibilities include supporting recruitment from job description drafting to onboarding, assisting with employee and labor relations, overseeing payroll processing, managing terminations, and administering leaves. The role requires demonstrated HR experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and fluency in both English and French. Up to two days of remote work per week may be permitted.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Administrative Officer, the Human Resources Administrator assists with HR business processes and their application. This position acts as a resource on HR issues to all AMURE, AMUSE, MUNACA, MPEX, and Academic Associate employees at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI).
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist managers for all operational activities related to HR, from recruitment to retirement. Provide support to the administrative team for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the University.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Demonstrated experience working in a human resources environment. Experience with University HR policies and collective agreements is an asset. Result-oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively plan and review work, collaborate with others, and work successfully in a group setting. Demonstrated experience working with information of a sensitive and confidential nature. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders at all levels. Ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to carry on simultaneous projects. Client focused and proven attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work in a computerized environment using word-processing, databases, spreadsheets and presentation software. Knowledge of Workday and LinkedIn is an asset. CRHA/CHRP designation is an asset. Fluently bilingual in English and French. Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 4 on a scale of 0-4.
