Carolina Animal Specialty and Emergency Hospital (CASE) is seeking an experienced Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) to become the welcoming face of our hospital and an essential member of our Emergency and Specialty team.
This is not an entry-level position.

Deliver Exceptional Client Service
As one of the first and last people our clients interact with, you'll help create a compassionate, organized, and supportive experience during some of the most emotional moments of pet ownership.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion
- Answer high-volume phone calls while prioritizing urgent patient needs
- Coordinate Emergency walk-ins and Specialty appointments
- Accurately register patients and maintain electronic medical records
- Collect patient histories and verify client information
- Process invoices, payments, deposits, and financial transactions
- Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians regarding patient flow
- Provide updates, discharge instructions, and follow-up communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Support efficient hospital workflow through teamwork and collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary Client Service Representative, or Veterinary Medical Reception experience
- Previous experience working in a Veterinary Hospital
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or emotionally challenging situations
- Comfortable using multiple computer systems and veterinary software
Highly Preferred
- Emergency Veterinary Hospital experience
- Specialty Veterinary Hospital experience
- Experience with ezyVet, Instinct, Cornerstone, AVImark, or similar veterinary software
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and client education
Schedule
This is a Full-Time opportunity.
Schedule includes:
- Weekday evening shifts
- Rotating weekend schedule
- Rotating holidays shared fairly among the team
- Flexible availability to support hospital operations
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Working in a Specialty and Emergency hospital is rewarding, fast-paced, and hands-on.
Team members should be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an entire shift
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently and more with assistance
- Assist with patient transport when needed
- Work around animals of varying sizes and temperaments
- Safely work around animal dander, fur, saliva, urine, feces, blood, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, and medical odors
- Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
