Shape the Future of a Global D365 Transformation
Finning is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technology & Solution Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in one of the company's most significant enterprise transformation initiatives. This is an opportunity to influence the future-state architecture, delivery strategy, and operational readiness of Dynamics 365 solutions across Finning's global business operations in Canada, UK & Ireland, and South America.
As the D365 Technology Lead, you will serve as the technical authority for Dynamics 365 delivery, partnering closely with Product Owners, Functional Leads, Microsoft, strategic Systems Integrator (SI) partners, and enterprise technology teams to ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned to business objectives. This role is initially focused on Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM), including Sales and Marketing capabilities, with opportunities to support future platform expansion.
This role combines elements of solution architecture, technical leadership, delivery assurance, and operational readiness, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys bridging strategy and execution while driving business value through technology. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 solutions and working alongside implementation partners in complex enterprise environments.
This role is based in Edmonton, Calgary, or Surrey and offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

· For this position, the expected base salary range is between $120,000 and $140,000 annually with an additional performance bonus over the base salary. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications.

You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the technical direction of large-scale Dynamics 365 implementations and enhancements.
- Influence architecture and design decisions across a global technology landscape.
- Work with modern Microsoft technologies including Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Dataverse, Power Platform, Azure integration capabilities, and enterprise architecture practices.
- Partner with Microsoft, Systems Integrators, Functional Leads, and enterprise technology teams to ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned to business objectives. and senior business stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of modern cloud-based, fit-to-standard solutions. while minimizing unnecessary customization and long-term platform complexity.
- Establish architecture, governance, and delivery practices that support long-term scalability and sustainability.
- Define and govern D365 environment strategy, deployment approaches, and technical standards to support scalable multi-region delivery.
- Help shape the future operating model for Dynamics 365 across multiple regions and business units.
- Serve as the trusted technical leader for Dynamics 365 solution delivery.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Drive fit-to-standard adoption while balancing business requirements and platform capabilities.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Functional Leads, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Integration teams.
- Act as the bridge between business priorities, functional solution design, and technical delivery.
- Establish governance practices that improve solution quality, consistency, and long-term sustainability.
- Enable successful deployment, transition, and operational readiness across multiple regions.
- Ensure implementation partners deliver high-quality solutions and knowledge transfer outcomes.
Education & Experience Required:
- 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, solution oversight, or technical leadership roles.
- Hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 solutions strongly preferred; alternatively, significant experience delivering comparable enterprise SaaS platforms with proven ability to transfer knowledge quickly.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., D365, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow) in complex environments; preference for hands-on D365 transition and deployment experience.
- Experience working in multi-vendor and multi-region environments preferred.
- Combination of technical and functional exposure strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with Dynamics 365 and Dataverse platform capabilities preferred.
- Understanding of D365 (preferred) or equivalent SaaS platform architecture and delivery models.
- Knowledge of solution delivery lifecycles (e.g., Microsoft Success by Design: Discover, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Operate) and project management best practices.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power Platform certifications strongly preferred (Power Platform Solution Architect Expert desirable; Functional Consultant Associate preferred).
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, APIs, middleware, data flows, monitoring, and error handling in enterprise environments.
- Basic service management concepts, including support models, readiness, SLAs, and transition to operations.
- Understanding of governance and decision-making frameworks, including design decisions, trade-offs, and risk management.
- Ability to bridge technical and functional domains by translating business requirements into practical, supportable solutions.
- Experience working with Systems Integrators (SIs) in large-scale implementations.
- Ability to identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks early.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
