About the Role
The Senior Account Executive will manage multiple day-to-day client communications efforts on the Corporate Reputation & Brand Purpose (CRBP) Team. They will lead day-to-day activities, directing more junior team members and working directly with clients. They will be responsible for creating, managing and executing communications activities across integrated disciplines including media engagement, events, and owned content. The CRBP Team takes a purpose-centric approach to corporate communications. Our aim is to help organizations achieve business goals and make a positive impact, while building reputation equity and protecting their long-term license to thrive. An SAE will support various teams across the specialty service areas inclusive of philanthropy/nonprofit, executive, corporate social impact, and employee communications. For this role, preference for individuals with experience in philanthropy/nonprofit sector or corporate social impact.
Responsibilities
Project management of key client deliverables, helping the team stay on top of and track timing, ownership and needs
Create, review and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and client communications; initiate project reviews and adjust timelines and deliverables as needed
Synthesize data and apply analysis to inform key communications actions for team and clients
Support the development of strategic communications plans
Support development and execution of executive thought leadership plans and strategies
Research and share industry insights, shifts and opportunities in the landscape with clients and internal stakeholders
Serve as a primary point of contact to select clients, including providing strategic recommendations
Present reports to internal and external stakeholders
Draft talking points, key messages, narratives, award applications, event applications and other client assets
Monitor brand and industry trends to inform client opportunities with instruction from account leadership
Participate in client meetings, including leading discussions on topics related to project milestones as well as communicating relevant insights
Evaluate and respond to media inquiries and recommend next steps for engagement to internal stakeholders and/or clients; negotiate terms with reporters
Draft materials for media outreach, including pitches, briefing docs, outreach trackers, media lists, etc., as well as review and edit first drafts from other team members
Identify, create, and grow relationships with target media, influencers and external stakeholders
Pitch and build story concepts to inform reporter outreach and support client communications strategies
Monitor media coverage related to the client and their competitors; incorporate trends into client deliverables
Supervise junior staff in development of reports; review reporting deliverables and provide feedback.
Partner with internal stakeholders on reporting
Support new business research, assist in developing new business proposal and pitch materials
Mentor junior team members
Provide direction and guidance to junior team members on specific projects
Leverage AI tools to increase team and client efficiency and productivity
Qualifications
3-5 years of communications, marketing or media experience, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and consulting skills
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams
High level of initiative and accountability
Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and CoPilot)
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
Ability to be in the office up to three days per week
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working in communications for philanthropy, foundations or nonprofits
Demonstrated experience with corporate affairs and strategic communications across multiple audience segments
Preference for individuals located in Seattle, New York City or Portland
Demonstrated ability to gather/abstract or apply insights to inform strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge
Has established media relationships
Experience working with colleagues across multiple locations/time zones
Ability to travel: may on occasion need to travel, up to 20%

Compensation
The base annual salary range for this role, applicable across all U.S. locations, is outlined below. The actual salary may vary based on several factors such as business requirements, job responsibilities, skills, experience, and geographical location.
Salary Range
$72,000—$78,000 USD
