Overview:
As an IT Security Analyst within the Regional IT Security Team, you will immerse yourself in the critical aspects of cybersecurity that safeguard the organization’s global IT infrastructure. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working on projects that directly impact the security of the company’s networks, systems, and sensitive data.
You will collaborate closely with experienced IT security professionals across various functions, helping to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks. Your role will primarily focus on supporting the monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents, as well as assisting with vulnerability management and data protection initiatives. Additionally, you will engage in security compliance efforts, assist in evaluating new security tools, and contribute to the development of security awareness campaigns for employees.

Today Governments, organizations and private individuals are increasingly at the target of attacks like theft of intellectual property, sensitive information and Personal Identifiable Data.
Airbus as an enterprise is increasingly at risk as well due to its leading position in the aerospace and defense market. Additional risks come from our Extended Enterprise. In recent months the attacks we’ve seen have evolved and become more advanced & sophisticated. As the Regional IT Security Team for Airbus India & South Asia we are committed to safeguarding our infrastructure estate and continuously improving our cyber security posture.
This position will represent the Regional Cyber Security department, be engaged in business projects, create privileged partnerships with major business domains and efficiently contribute to the design and the architecture of new solutions and backbones.
This includes providing security expertise, collaborative definition of security measures and paradigms , ensuring intelligent balance between functional security & operational complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist with Security Incident Monitoring and Response: Help the team monitor security alerts, analyze security incidents, and provide timely responses to potential security threats.
● Conduct Vulnerability Assessments & Remediations: Assist in scanning internal systems and applications for vulnerabilities and assist with the remediation process.
● Security Documentation: Help maintain and update security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
● Support Risk Management: Contribute to risk assessments and assist in identifying potential risks to the company’s IT infrastructure.
● Tool and Technology Evaluation: Assist in evaluating and testing security tools, technologies, and solutions.
● Data Protection Initiatives: Support the team in implementing data protection strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
● Security Awareness: Assist in developing and deploying security awareness programs for employees across the organization.

● Understanding of risk identification approach in design & processes and mapping of relevant security controls.
● Research & understand the latest security vulnerabilities and propose recommendations.
● Work with security architects in designing a comprehensive risk-based Zero-Trust architecture.
● Closely working with Delivery managers, Architects, Operational team and Security experts to understand Airbus security posture and contribute towards its improvement.
● Establish and maintain working relationships within Regional/Roof and Airbus IM/Digital organization.
● Participate in Security and monitoring forums to learn and keep abreast of the latest changes and good practices.
● Challenge traditional ways of thinking and propose new ideas for innovation.
● Ensure the good reporting for her/his activity.
Qualification & Experience:
Ongoing or just completed Bachelor / Master’s Degree specialized in IT Security, Cyber or Equivalent.
Having good knowledge in scripting and automation (such as Python, Bash script etc.).
Basic understanding of security referential and frameworks such as: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 etc. is an added advantage.
Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and utilize time effectively.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with effective communication proficiency.
