Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Product Definition & Change Planning Specialist to join our team based in Kinston, NC.
You will be part of a team developing and guiding projects and configuration management activities necessary to incorporate new products or product changes, in accordance with contractual, customer, program, and regulatory requirements.

Your Working Environment:
The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:
Integrated scheduling 50%
- Interfaces with program management, product design, contracts, tooling, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, component suppliers, assemblers, and product support, in order to develop and maintain configuration incorporation plans and integrated schedules via application of project & configuration management.
- Develops and guides project and configuration management activities necessary to incorporate new products or product changes, in accordance with contractual, customer, program, and regulatory requirements.
- Has knowledge of the production system (e.g., supply, engineering, manufacturing, support, etc.), reviews and analyzes configuration data to control product changes, and negotiates between organizations to develop incorporation plans and integrated schedules.
Monitoring and ensuring compliance 40%
- Monitors and ensures compliance with the plans and schedules and reports on status.
- Ability to monitor and analyze the incorporation plan and to resolve plan deviations with the value chain.

- Minimal to No domestic and international travel
- US citizen (work on site in Kinston)
- Good computer skills (Google workplace and/or Microsoft office)

- 3-5 years manufacturing experience
- Undergraduate degree (bachelor or associate degree)
- SAP experience
- Onsite or remote: 100% onsite
- Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Yes but Engineering drawings no needed.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Yes to all.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Yes to all
- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Yes to all
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Not required.
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Not required
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Not required
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Yes to all
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Not required
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Yes to all

- Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
- Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor. Yes
