Job Description Summary:

As a key member of the CPS Mexico Greenfield, the Senior Manager, Digitization is empowered to lead and support efforts to deliver the digital scope for the plant. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners across the CPS network to understand business needs, identify digitization opportunities, existing standards and help to deliver those opportunities with the support of Digital Delivery Team (DDT), Global Automation (OT), and Platform Services (IT) as primary support groups, together with the Global Functions. 

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the integrated startup of digital and automation systems, WCS, Manufacturing Execution System (MES - CIMO), SAP and Digital Manufacturing Systems (OEE/SPC & Performance Management, Scheduling, Digital Quality, etc.) within a new manufacturing facility. This role ensures seamless integration of digital systems to enable efficient, compliant, and reliable operations from day one. 

We seek an individual who is adept at building collaborative relationships, has a deep understanding of operations management and digital technologies, and can lead Waterfall and Agile projects to achieve our strategic goals. 

What You'll Do for Us 

  • Startup Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end startup process for Automation, WCS, CIMO, Digital Manufacturing Systems and SAP scopes, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all startup activities, coordinating between engineering automation, digital, DTS and operations.
  • Integration Management
  • Ensure integration of automation systems with MES, SAP and Analytics to enable real-time data flow and operational visibility.
  • Validate system interfaces and ensure compliance with global standards and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Project Execution
  • Develop and maintain detailed startup plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency strategies.
  • Drive integrated Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities for automation and digital systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with global engineering and digital delivery, local operations, and technology teams to ensure smooth handover to manufacturing.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet quality and performance expectations.
  • Performance & Compliance
  • Ensure systems meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report startup progress, KPIs, and readiness to leadership.
  • Deliver successful Vertical Start-up of CPS [Plant Name] Greenfield by integrating all the Digital systems with shopfloor automation systems and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications 

  • University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with practical knowledge in operations, and Digital/Automation Projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills: Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, explain complex information clearly, and manage communication with external parties such as customers and vendors to foster collaboration and innovation, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives and project outcomes
  • Skilled in managing Agile teams and implementing Agile project management methodologies
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of digital project initiatives, ensuring delivery in time and quality
