We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager/Material Manager to lead sourcing, negotiating, awarding, and managing various subcontract types and material procurements. In this role, you will develop and execute material program strategies and plans to ensure program competitiveness and performance, from the early stages of business pursuits to contract closure. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to address technical challenges, propose sourcing solutions, and manage supplier relationships to meet program objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute material program strategies (MPS) and material program plans (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance.
  • Source, negotiate, award, and manage various subcontract types and material procurements, ensuring compliance with program requirements, government regulations (FAR/DFAR), public law, and company policies.
  • Compile technical, quality, delivery, and contractual requirements, and prepare and issue requests for quotes/proposals.
  • Analyze supplier quotes/proposals, perform cost/price analyses, and utilize source selection techniques (e.g., best value, total cost of ownership).
  • Establish negotiation objectives and strategies, support negotiations, and identify supplier risks and opportunities.
  • Manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, quality, technical, and programmatic/contractual requirements.
  • Report on program-level procurements using special program applications.
  • Collaborate with supply chain counterparts to support procurement and subcontract administration for program procurement actions.
  • Assist with supplier evaluations and participate in gate reviews, capture/proposal efforts, and program reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Experience with managing and executing various contract types, including FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, and IDIQ.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with MRP and/or Special Program Access applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage proposals, including preparing cost estimates and technical solutions.
  • Proven knowledge and application of Teaming Agreements, Bidders Agreements, and NDAs in a business or supply chain environment.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense industry.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
