Join the team empowering the world to design
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, こんにちは, 你好, hallo, नमस्ते, 안녕하세요, hola, salut!
At Canva, our mission is to empower the world to design—and we’re growing fast across the globe. With over 250 million monthly active users in over 190 countries, we’re on a mission to make Canva the most loved brand in the world. To support this ambition, we’re building a world-class growth marketing team that’s deeply local, highly creative, and relentlessly performance-focused.
We're looking for a Creative Operations Manager to be the operational engine behind the growth creative flywheel and broader creative operation in Spain. You'll partner with our Growth Marketing Manager, Creative Strategist and Head of Marketing to turn concepts into shipped, trafficked, measured work, every sprint, across every channel.
About the role
As the Creative Operations Manager for Spain, you'll be the right hand to the Creative Strategist and the operational backbone of the local creative pod. You'll own the rails that keep the flywheel spinning. The briefs, the pipelines, the partners, the trafficking, so the team can ship a high volume of high-quality creative every week and actually learn from it.
This role sits at the intersection of production, creative ops. and project management. You'll need enough creative sensibility to know what good looks like on Meta, TikTok and YouTube, and enough operational rigour to make sure every asset is briefed clearly, made on time, trafficked correctly, and tagged so the data flowing back tells us something useful.
As part of this role, you'll report to the Creative Strategist and work closely with the broader marketing and country team. You'll be hands on and work with supporting content administrators and partner with creators, editors and external production partners across Spain.
About the role
🎬 Run the end-to-end production engine for growth creative
Own the production pipeline that powers weekly sprint cycles, from brief through shoot/edit through delivery. Keep a steady drumbeat of always on content in Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other channels with the operational headroom to flex up for bigger swings and brand moments when they arise.
📱 Produce for social-first channels, not for ads
You understand how content actually gets made for modern feeds. Vertical, native, fast, iterative, creator-led. You know the difference between a TVC re-cut and a concept built for the platform, and you can coach internal teams, freelancers and creators through producing for it.
🌟 Find, close, and unlock great creators
You can spot great creator talent in Spain, how to get them on a call, close the deal, and onboard them fast. You'll partner with the Creative Strategist to brief, coach and pull the sharpest work out of every creator on the roster. You’ll help manage relationships, scale the winners and find new partnerships.
🤝 Be the right hand to the Creative Strategist
Partner closely with the Creative Strategist across the full flywheel: briefing, casting, scheduling, production, delivery, post-mortems. They lead the thinking; you make sure it ships. Translate creative ambition into executable production plans, flag trade-offs early, and protect the work from operational friction.
🗂️ Own ad trafficking, classification, and asset hygiene
You'll be the operational owner of how creative gets into platforms and it's tagging. Naming conventions, implementing global taxonomies, creative metadata, trafficking into Meta/TikTok/YouTube ads managers.
👥 Lead and work closely with a content admin team
Lead and collaborate with content administrators in Manilla. Give them clear direction, raise the bar on their work, and help them grow into stronger operators. You'll ensure up the systems and ways of working facilitate them working ship at pace without dropping balls.
🤖 Accelerate workflows with AI and modern tools
Use AI tools to speed up briefing, asset versioning, localisation, tagging and admin. Look for ways to remove friction from the pipeline so the team can spend more time on the work that matters and less time on the work that doesn't.
💰 Manage vendors, budgets and partners
Run the relationships with creators, editors, agencies and freelancers in Spain. Briefing them clearly, holding them to timeline and quality, and using them efficiently. Own budget oversight across third-party production, flag risks early, and find smart solutions when plans shift.
👑 Champion the Spain market
Bring local production knowledge. The vendors, the creators, the platforms, the cultural nuances that affect how content gets made and what lands. As we scale across Spain, collaborate with Creative Operations Members in adjacent markets to share systems, partners and learnings.
