Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Structural Design Engineer in Getafe, Spain. The role involves designing and validating composite and hybrid airframe structures using cutting-edge composite technologies and 3D modeling. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop structural documentation, troubleshoot production issues, and interface with external partners. A minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft structural design is required, along with proficiency in CATIA and PDM/PLM tools, and fluency in English and Spanish.
Job Description:
An opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Aerostructures Design area, a dynamic and multidisciplinary team applying cutting-edge composite technologies and full 3D modeling procedures (3DExperience) under an AGILE methodology. This area is responsible for the structural design, integration, and sustaining of major airframe components for key programs including EUROMALE, Dassault Falcon (10X, 7X/8X), and the SAETA II advanced jet trainer. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate in concurrent engineering to solve complex production issues and drive digital product innovation.
