I&C Supervisor will provide supervision and the highest level of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering skills and knowledge to support the Refuelling Outages maintenance program in the UAE. It will include overseeing calibration, testing, disconnection/reconnection and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems across NSSS and BOP, in compliance with nuclear safety, industrial safety and regulatory requirements, to ensure overall plant performance objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
I&C Maintenance Supervision
Directly supervise I&C maintenance teams to ensure all calibration and maintenance tasks are performed safely, on time, and to the required quality standard for plant operational readiness.
Equipment Scope
- RCS/RCP instrumentation: level transmitters, speed/vibration sensors, cold/hot leg transmitters, SG transmitters, RTDs, RSPT O-rings
- CEDM IHA activities: DRCS, HJTC, RDP-A/B disconnection/reconnection, thermocouple checking, fuse replacement
- Main Steam and Main Feedwater: pressure/flow transmitter calibration, instrumentation for MSIV, MFIV, MSVs and GVs
- EDG instrumentation: full loop checking, transmitter calibration, speed/vibration sensors, process switches, PMT
- MG Set and Turbine/Generator: speed, vibration, RTD, thermocouple, expansion/eccentricity sensors
- AOV instrumentation: positioners, solenoids, volume boosters, limit switches, LVDTs, position transmitters
- BOP and HVAC systems: all secondary systems instrumentation calibration and corrective maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Head of I&C Maintenance in the absence of the Head (DOW basis)
- Ensure timely preparation, staging and procurement of calibration equipment and special tools
- Conduct pre- and post-job briefings; ensure compliance with plant maintenance standards
- Validate and document equipment history reports after maintenance activities
- Ensure all M&TE is calibrated and traceable to NIST standards; submit calibration records to the Customer
- Oversee periodic and surveillance tests; provide technical support to other departments
- Lead troubleshooting of I&C systems and components
- Support hot functional, power ascension and performance tests as required
Operational Planning
Provide input into Department systems and processes; develop work instructions and identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase productivity and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
8 years in Nuclear/Power Plant industries, including in plant I&C maintenance (not commissioning).
Technical Skills
- Proven experience calibrating pressure, flow, level and temperature transmitters (Rosemount, Foxboro or equivalent) using Druck, Fluke or equivalent calibrators
- Experience with CEDM instrumentation systems (DRCS, HJTC, RSPT) and RCP I&C
- Knowledge of pneumatic instrument systems: positioners, volume boosters, solenoid valves, I/P converters
- Experience with thermocouple, RTD and speed/vibration sensor calibration and replacement
- Familiarity with loop checking procedures and Post Maintenance Testing (PMT) requirements
- Proficient with process calibrators, signal simulators, decade boxes and oscilloscopes
- Proficient with MS Project or Primavera scheduling tools
Leadership & Personal Skills
- Strong supervisory and man management skills
- Ability to make complex technical decisions under pressure
- Good communication and cross-department coordination skills
- Thorough knowledge of nuclear/power plant safety procedures
- Must complete required safety courses (confined space, radiation exposure, working at height)
- Ability to read, understand and plan to an Outage schedule
Good understanding of Project Management principles including Critical Path.
