About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience

This role sits at the intersection of AI strategy, private equity value creation, organizational transformation, and scaled execution.

As a Senior Director within the AI & SWAT organization, you lead a portfolio of AI transformation squads ("Pods") focused on strategic Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. Your mission is to help PE firms and portco teams realize tangible business value from Salesforce AI, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and the broader Salesforce platform — while accelerating Salesforce revenue and consumption growth, strengthening executive relationships, and establishing Salesforce as the trusted AI transformation partner for the PE ecosystem.

About the Global Practice

Our Private Equity practice is a dedicated, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving team built for time to value. We are scrappy by design, operating with speed and urgency because our PE clients and their portfolio companies demand results — not roadmaps. We fundamentally accelerate Salesforce processes and impact for PE firms and their portfolio companies.

Teams are organized around specific portfolio companies tied to a common PE firm and Value Creation Operating Partner, working directly with both PE Operating Partner teams and portco leadership. This is not a slow, methodical consulting engagement — it's a high-stakes, high-impact execution engine.

This team is a critical lever for Salesforce's AI GTM momentum. We are targeting turnaround opportunities — converting previously negative or neutral Agentforce experiences into measurable wins — and driving consumption growth across the PE portfolio. The north star metric for this team is our PE Portco consumption dashboard, with tangible goals established within 90 days of a team being assigned.

Our goal: accelerate as much Agentforce adoption as possible by Dreamforce.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Lead Private Equity AI Transformation Programs

  • Serve as the executive sponsor and trusted advisor for assigned PE firms and their portfolio companies.
  • Build relationships with PE operating partners, portfolio company executives, and Salesforce account teams to identify opportunities where AI can drive measurable business value.
  • Help PE firms define AI transformation strategies, prioritize investments, and establish roadmaps that align AI initiatives to value creation plans, operational efficiency goals, revenue growth objectives, and portfolio-wide transformation strategies.
  • Guide executive stakeholders through AI adoption journeys and position Salesforce as a strategic transformation partner.

Partner with Relationship Managers

  • Work in close partnership with the Relationship Manager (RM) assigned to each PE firm.
  • Understand the distinct and complementary roles: RMs own overall client relationships, timelines, and impact tracking; Senior Directors in this role lead the technical AI transformation execution, pod delivery, and portco-level outcomes.
  • Collaborate with RMs on account strategy, escalation paths, and executive alignment — ensuring seamless coordination across the team.
  • Engage with PE Analyst/Associate teams as appropriate through RM-led coordination; direct engagement with Analysts/Associates is not expected from this role.

Lead and Develop High-Performing AI Pods

  • Lead multiple squads of builders, deployment strategists, and technical specialists responsible for delivering AI-powered solutions and business outcomes.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop top talent while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, customer obsession, and execution excellence.
  • Ensure teams maintain high standards for solution quality, customer engagement, technical rigor, governance, and measurable business impact.
  • Create clear operating rhythms, delivery mechanisms, and performance frameworks that enable teams to scale effectively across multiple portfolio engagements.

Drive Strategic Use Cases into Measurable Outcomes

  • Partner with PE firms and portfolio companies to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases including Agentforce, Data Cloud, and AI Pod implementations.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable execution plans for pods, ensuring initiatives are aligned to strategic priorities and measurable value creation outcomes.
  • Oversee solution delivery from opportunity discovery through deployment, adoption, and value realization.
  • Remove obstacles, coordinate resources, and ensure successful execution across technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Establish clear success metrics and accountability mechanisms that demonstrate business impact and Salesforce value.
  • Drive consumption growth explicitly — this team's work should be reflected in measurable increases on the PE Portco consumption dashboard.

Build Scalable Transformation Playbooks

  • Capture learnings, best practices, implementation patterns, and success stories across engagements.
  • Develop repeatable frameworks, industry-specific use cases, deployment methodologies, governance models, and AI transformation playbooks that can be reused across PE firms and portfolio companies.
  • Create scalable operating models that increase delivery efficiency, accelerate customer outcomes, and enable broader adoption of Salesforce AI capabilities including Data Cloud and AI Pods.
  • Surface market insights, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities to Salesforce product, engineering, and GTM leadership teams.

Accelerate Salesforce Growth and Market Leadership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership teams to identify expansion opportunities and support strategic account growth.
  • Help establish Salesforce as the preferred AI transformation partner within the private equity ecosystem.
  • Drive customer references, success stories, executive advocacy, and thought leadership that enhance Salesforce's reputation and market position.
  • Contribute to revenue and consumption growth through successful adoption, expansion, and strategic AI transformation initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

Within 90 Days

  • Established trusted relationships with assigned PE firms and key operating partners.
  • Built credibility with pod leaders and team members.
  • Identified and prioritized strategic AI opportunities across portfolio companies — leveraging existing analysis (e.g., Catalyst program portco data) where available.
  • Implemented operating rhythms, delivery governance, and outcome measurement frameworks.
  • Launched or accelerated Agentforce implementations at portcos — our average implementation is 4–6 weeks; 90 days is enough to deliver meaningful results.
  • Established PE Portco consumption dashboard goals and baselines.
  • Aligned with assigned RM on roles, responsibilities, and joint operating rhythm.

Within 6 Months

  • Demonstrated measurable business outcomes and customer value realization.
  • Guided multiple portfolio companies through meaningful AI transformation initiatives.
  • Developed repeatable AI transformation playbooks and deployment methodologies.
  • Built strong executive sponsorship and advocacy within PE firms.
  • Supported Salesforce revenue and consumption growth through successful adoption and expansion motions.

Within 12 Months

  • Established Salesforce as a strategic AI transformation partner within assigned PE firms — if 90-day results land, this should happen organically and quickly.
  • Delivered portfolio-wide business impact across multiple companies.
  • Built a high-performing, scalable team and operating model.
  • Created reusable frameworks that influence broader Salesforce AI transformation efforts.
  • Demonstrated meaningful contribution to Salesforce growth, customer success, and market reputation.
