The Senior Business Associate will report directly to the Head of Business Execution for the Wealth Lending business. Lending is a key part of the Wealth business, helping clients meet their lending needs across our global network. The role is a critical leadership position responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing operational excellence, and managing key business processes within the Lending team.
This role supports strategic initiatives, business management activities, and operational execution across the Lending organization. The position requires a motivated professional with a strong understanding of financial services, project coordination, financial management, and business governance. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate across stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional and global Lending leadership to support strategic priorities and assist in the execution of key initiatives.
- Coordinate day-to-day business management and operational activities across the Lending organization.
- Support financial processes, including business reviews, planning activities, expense tracking, accrual monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist with cost management efforts by tracking expenses, validating spending, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Analyze business data and prepare recommendations to support management decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and track regional and global projects, ensuring timely execution against agreed milestones.
- Collaborate with product, business, and functional partners to support consistent execution of business objectives.
- Support workforce planning activities, including reporting on headcount, hiring trends, and organizational changes.
- Monitor business performance metrics and prepare management reporting in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the tracking and execution of regulatory, compliance, audit, and control-related deliverables.
- Coordinate governance forums and committees, including agenda preparation, materials management, and follow-up actions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of operational enhancements and standardization efforts.
- Apply sound risk and control principles in business activities and escalate issues appropriately.
- Participate in self-assessment and control testing activities to support effective risk management.
Qualifications:
- 6–8 years of experience in financial services, business management, business execution, or a related function.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and support execution of cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with budgeting, reporting, and business planning processes.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
- Working knowledge of risk, controls, governance, and regulatory expectations within a financial services environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required. Master's degree is preferred.
