Senior Analyst, Franchise Network Standards
Overview
The Asia-Pacific Franchise team is seeking a Senior Analyst, Franchise Network Standards. This role reports to the Vice President, Franchise Network Standards Lead for Asia-Pacific. The Network Standards team supports Mastercard’s expansion into new business models and ecosystem constructs while also helping maintain the strength, consistency, and integrity of the existing network. As part of this specialized team, the Senior Analyst will contribute analysis, research, and coordination to support the development of operational standards that enable innovation while protecting trust, compliance, and franchise integrity across existing and evolving business models.
Role
• Support the development and maintenance of global standards that promote consistent, secure, and compliant network operations across markets.
• Support the design of standards for new payment flows, emerging technologies, and evolving ecosystem participation models.
• Support the standards development lifecycle, including research, drafting, review, and implementation coordination.
• Assist in assessing how customers and partners participate in the Mastercard network, including new roles and ecosystem constructs beyond issuing and acquiring.
• Partner with Product, Core, Services, and Strategy teams to support standards development and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Contribute ideas and analysis that support franchise expansion, strengthen existing business models, and protect network integrity.
• Monitor business trends related to new markets and business opportunities, and help assess their potential impact on licenses, rules, compliance, and systems.
• Support delivery of team goals aligned to Franchise priorities and regional business objectives.
All About You
• Good understanding of payment network constructs, including issuing, acquiring, and multi-rail ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of end-to-end transaction flows, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and dispute processes.
• Familiarity with Mastercard Rules, Transaction Processing Rules, and Security Rules & Procedures is an advantage.
• Ability to support the development of clear, scalable standards documentation and translate product, technical, and business requirements into practical network standards and frameworks.
• Comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
• Structured thinker with the ability to balance innovation, regulatory compliance, and network integrity.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically, as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in payments, financial services, or a related field.
