Investment Bank - Credit Structurer - up to VP

Details of the Division and Team:    

Deutsche Bank Credit Solutions is seeking a Credit Structuring professional to join its market leading structured credit franchise, which has a long and successful track record in  Asset side credit business in Japanese market.

Credit Solutions Japan is part of Credit Solutions APAC within Global Financing and Credit Trading Division.

With expanding business opportunities in Japan, Credit Solutions  is looking for an experienced professional with deep knowledge of the Japanese banking industry to work in a highly experienced team to further grow Deutsche Bank’s franchise in Japan.

You will work as a structurer and trader in structured credit business which includes CDS, corporate bond, loan, interest rate derivatives and other hybrid assets.

Alongside this, you will collaborate with institutional and corporate sales in Japan to provide solution business for Japanese clients.

Your key responsibilities:

• Interacting with clients, sales and internal counterparties in other trading, coverage and structuring functions to generate new business and build market share.
• Running positions and identifying value through education in various products, systems and market practice
• Providing solutions to clients directly and create new products and manage their risk.
• Building a sustainable business and market share.
• Managing financial and non-financial risks.

Your skills and experience:

• Extensive knowledge of the Japanese Structured Credit market, particularly the regional financial institution sector and its investment needs.
• Proven experience in credit structuring, with a strong understanding of structured credit products and transaction execution.
• Strong interest in developing a career in trading and market risk-taking activities.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships with institutional investors. Demonstrated ability to originate business opportunities and collaborate effectively with sales, trading, structuring, and risk management teams.
• Strong commercial mindset, analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to business development.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work seamlessly with diverse stakeholders, including, but not excluded to, Traders, Sales, Legal, Operations teams
• Educated to University degree level
• Fluency in Japanese and English
• Risk management skills.
• Quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of capital and regulatory matters in both cash and derivative products.
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Strong and persuasive communication skills in English and Japanese
• JSDA1 qualification holder
