A Day in the Life:
- Daily review of operational KPIs, including production, quality, OEE, scrap, and line downtime, while participating in Tier Meetings to establish priorities and ensure compliance with the production plan.
- Conduct Gemba walks to identify process deviations, provide immediate support for production and quality issues, and lead root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
- Analyze cycle times, line balancing, layouts, and material flow to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality teams to address critical issues, ensure equipment availability, and maintain uninterrupted production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on capacity enhancement, scrap reduction, engineering changes, and process optimization.
- Develop executive reports and present project results, performance metrics, and action plans to management.
- Support production line operations through engineering projects and technical problem-solving activities.
- Drive technological innovation and automation improvements within manufacturing processes.
Who We're Looking For
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, or a similar position.
- Work Location: Onsite – Aguascalientes Components Plant (A1).
- Travel Availability: Up to 50%.
- English: Advanced proficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in PLC programming, modifications, troubleshooting, and optimization within manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of automation systems, industrial controls, and production line technologies.
- Ability to manage programming changes and implement phased improvements to automated equipment.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving automation equipment failures, including SEW motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on operational continuity and process reliability.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, OEE, productivity improvement, and waste reduction methodologies.
- Ability to analyze production processes, optimize cycle times, and improve line efficiency.
- Leadership skills with experience coordinating and supervising technical personnel.
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and internal customers.
- Experience preparing technical reports and presenting results to management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset.
