Description

As a Senior Technical Business Developer, you will serve as a key individual contributor and subject matter expert for capital equipment sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle - from supplier identification and RFQ execution through contract award and delivery - for high-value equipment, automation systems, tooling, and more. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will be a technical procurement authority for the organization. You will partner closely with partner teams across the organization to ensure material readiness and targets are met. You will help establish standards for how procurement operates and contribute to the development of sourcing managers and buyers through thought leadership and process design.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end capital equipment sourcing across multiple advanced product portfolios, including supplier identification, market analysis, RFQ/RFP execution, total cost of ownership modeling, and award decisions across equipment, automation systems, tooling, and infrastructure. Develop and implement sourcing approaches that optimize cost efficiency while advancing technical capabilities.

- Lead complex negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and service providers - structuring commercial agreements covering pricing, payment terms, warranties, SLAs, and long-lead-time components, and managing the full contract lifecycle including amendments, renewals, and dispute resolution.

- Develop sourcing frameworks, standard operating procedures, and operating mechanisms that scale with the organization - supporting and mentoring sourcing managers and buyers through technical guidance.

- Establish and manage supplier performance programs, including scorecards, SLAs, and regular business reviews. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual-sourcing strategies, should-cost models, and contingency planning.

- budgets with cost controls, variance tracking, and change management governance. Support material planning, inventory strategy, and spare parts availability. Drive cost optimization initiatives with demonstrated results.

- Align equipment procurement timelines with site milestones and schedules in close partnership with cross-functional teams across the organization. Serve as a procurement subject matter expert in cross-functional planning forums. Influence leadership on strategic direction and investment decisions related to the supply chain.
