Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical services while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures.
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including cosmetic, reconstructive, and restorative interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, evaluate expectations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform aesthetic procedures including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, breast surgery, and other cosmetic interventions.
- Manage reconstructive cases related to trauma, burns, congenital conditions, skin defects, and post-surgical reconstruction.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, operative procedures, and post-operative follow-up care.
- Provide expert advice on treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with dermatologists, oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Manage surgical complications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols, infection prevention standards, and clinical governance requirements.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and departmental meetings.
- Mentor junior surgeons and contribute to medical education and professional development activities.
- Stay updated with advances in plastic surgery techniques, technologies, and evidence-based practices.
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of recognized postgraduate training in Plastic Surgery.
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Plastic Surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-specialty clinical experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
- Extensive experience in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures.
- Strong expertise in patient assessment, surgical planning, and advanced operative techniques.
- Experience in cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, or microsurgical procedures is preferred.
- Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to manage complex cases while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
