SMX is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join a leadership team focused on high-performing solution delivery. This onsite role in Camp Springs, Maryland, requires a Top-Secret clearance. The Data Scientist Lead will provide technical leadership for enterprise data analytics, design analytical architectures, implement systems and databases, and guide BI platform selection. Responsibilities include enforcing data quality, performing cost-benefit analyses, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders.
SMX is seeking a Lead Data Scientist. Essential Duties
The Data Scientist Lead provides technical leadership for enterprise data analytics solutions under this task order, designing and modeling analytical architectures and implementing systems and databases that support end-user analytics. The position applies statistical, programming, and engineering methods; builds and optimizes SQL-based analytical data structures; and guides BI platform selection, architecture, and standards. The Data Scientist Lead enforces data quality and performance criteria, performs cost-benefit and tradeoff analyses of solution options, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and clearly communicates technical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
