The Enterprise Solutions Technology organization is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Business Management to serve as a strategic partner to senior technology leadership. This highly experienced leader will shape the financial, operational, and execution agenda for a complex, global technology organization, bringing a strong background in business management, financial planning, technology operations, software delivery models, and large-scale transformation.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Lead the business management function for Enterprise Solutions Technology, establishing the operating cadence, governance model, financial discipline, and performance management practices required to support a scaled global technology organization.
• Partner with senior technology leaders to define and execute strategic priorities, ensuring that business plans, resource allocation, investment decisions, and delivery commitments are aligned with the Enterprise Solutions Technology roadmap.
• Own and manage complex financial processes, including expense budgets, investment planning, cost management, forecasting, variance analysis, and participation in overall P&L management for the technology organization.
• Develop executive-level reporting, analytics, and insights that connect technology performance, financial outcomes, delivery progress, workforce planning, and operational efficiency.
• Lead multi-year planning and rolling forecast processes, translating business and technology priorities into actionable financial models, resource plans, and investment recommendations.
• Drive operational scalability by designing and implementing consistent processes across planning, budgeting, reporting, vendor management, workforce management, delivery tracking, and performance measurement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Market Intelligence stakeholders to ensure technology investments support customer needs, commercial priorities, platform resilience, and long-term growth.
• Provide strategic analysis of technology spend, productivity, cost drivers, investment returns, and organizational capacity to support informed decision-making by senior leadership.
• Lead or support high-priority transformation initiatives across Enterprise Solutions Technology, including operating model evolution, platform modernization support, process automation, cost optimization, and improved governance of strategic programs.
• Facilitate analysis related to pricing, competitive positioning, partner ecosystems, and customer-facing technology operations where these intersect with Enterprise Solutions Technology priorities.
• Establish strong internal partnerships across Enterprise Solutions, Markets, Finance, Product, Technology, and S&P Global corporate functions to improve alignment, transparency, and execution.
• Build a culture of accountability, inclusion, trust, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making across the business management function and broader technology organization.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is approximately $235,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
• An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of experience in business management, technology business operations, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, consulting, data analytics, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience supporting or leading business management within a technology, financial services, software, data, analytics, or enterprise platform environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex budgets, expense plans, forecasts, investment cases, and financial models, preferably within a large-scale technology organization.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, product delivery models, technology investment planning, release management, and the operational dynamics of enterprise technology platforms.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets and produce actionable insights for senior management.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Proven ability to lead strategic planning, business case development, executive reporting, operating reviews, and cross-functional governance processes.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial, operational, and technical topics into clear recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships, and lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced global environment.
• Strong leadership capability, including the ability to develop talent, create inclusive team environments, and drive productivity across cross-functional teams.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Technology, or a related field.
• Experience leading business management, technology operations, FP&A, strategy, or transformation functions at a senior level.
• Prior experience with financial technology, capital markets, enterprise data platforms, software businesses, or financial services technology organizations.
• Experience managing or contributing to complex P&L processes for a global technology or software organization.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models, cloud-based platforms, technology modernization, vendor management, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including process redesign, operating model changes, automation, cost optimization, or technology roadmap enablement.
• Ability to assess technology investment trade-offs and support decisions related to platform scalability, operational resilience, cost efficiency, and customer impact.
• Emotional Intelligence: Possesses the ability to assess and respond appropriately to a variety of emotionally challenging and difficult situations, conscious of their own biases and the biases of others, whilst fostering inclusivity.
• Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work beyond team boundaries to unlock issues and agree on solutions.
